Mark Robinson: Black Na#i
CNN does actual journalism and uncovers disquieting information about North Carolina's Lieutenant Governor...including a bit of trans hypocrisy akin to what a lot of public erotophobes feel privately.
It looks like Mark Robinson really stepped in the big pile this time.
The highly controversial Black Republican Lt. Governor of North Carolina has gotten int a lot of trouble for many homo/trans-phobic comments he has made, many while in office and while running for NC Governor. That election is this November.
Now I will NOT get into all of the particulars of all the things Marky Mark posted on the site he posted on. If you DO want to read the CNN report, follow this link.
But what did catch my eye were postings he made on that certain site pertaining to a specific type of adult entertainment:
“I like watching tr*nny on girl porn! That’s f*cking hot! It takes the man out while leaving the man in!” Robinson wrote. “And yeah I’m a ‘perv’ too!”
Not that there’s anything wrong with that. But there is a disconnect between what Marky personally enjoys with what he has said in public about transpeople:
“If you’re a man on Friday night, and all the sudden Saturday, you feel like a woman, and you want to go in the women’s bathroom in the mall, you will be arrested, or whatever we gotta do to you,” Robinson said at a campaign rally in February 2024. “We’re going to protect our women.”
The Hypocrisy Force is strong with this one.
And others. Not matter what the side of the political spectrum one is on, most of us seem to be most tantalized by that which we say repulses us. Right…
The homophobe who watches lesbian porn or even men in leather go at it. The one screaming “protect our kids” whist downloading “barely legal” stuff. Saying that transwomen are an abomination while watching Kelly Pierce and Natalie Mars go at it. And yes, I know who they are.
I feel we really need to have a talk about our desires, There’s the stuff we say in private to sound all moral and such, then there’s the stuff we say and do in private. It’s possible that a lot of the problems we have an anything connected to sex could be alleviated by simply eschewing the manufactured shame we have attached to anything dealing with sexuality.
But let’s get back to Robinson. Would this sink him? We’ve had at least three Presidents who have had problems keeping it in their pants and in their way they were wildly popular with their base. The CNN story attached was released 9/19/24, so we don’t know how the polls would read. The most recent poll by Victory Insights has Robinson 5 points behind NC AG Mark Stein. That’s not only within most margins of error, but a marked improvement from just 14 days ago when Robinson was down by 14. Now to be fair, Robinson has denied all this, and despite countless instant, fervent calls for him to drop out, Robinson has owed to stay in the race. We’ll see.
So, all this raises a couple of questions that need to be answered: the immediate question is whether any of this would have any effect on the Tarheel electorate? But probably the broader and more important one, can we ever truly reconcile our true carnal nature with the pressures of a society hell bent on instituting artificial sexual morals on the members of society with a phobia of being judged and embarrassed?
